For this sound i recorded the sound of a car starting. I then reduced the noise by 21 db and amplified the sound of 15,7 db.

This sound was made by me, i tied down my canon powershot a460 digital camera inside the engine bay of my 1993 rover 620si, and it's got a petrol honda engine, no turbo on this version. I had my video recording on my camera in the engine bay while i was driving. I started the engine up and took it for a drive. I simply took the sound off the video. Recorded with the mic on the rear bumper of a 1974 mgb sportscar. Start, drive off, up through gears, steady state, and shut-off. Very throaty period correct exhaust note appropriate for british sports cars from the 30's through 80's. Recorded outside of car so would work best for driving follow shots, drive by's, or car entering/leaving a scene. Think of a fighter pilot driving up in his mg car to the airfield in battle of britain; yeah, that kind of scene!.
